Welcome back Home to: John, Tom & Diann, George & Marylou, Fran & Vern, and Joe & Dolly. We missed you and you missed all the fun in the snow.

 Message from the President

The President is requesting that the unit owner not hang plants on the lamp posts as they are not cemented in the ground and many of them have to be straightened out as this yearís project.

The company that did the driveway patch for 3-5 Hadleigh will be making that repair in May. They will also be removing the black silt fence that runs around the new well on Flat Rock Road.

Blowout of our Water Lines

Hampstead will be doing a blowout of our water lines in early May. Unit owners will be asked to run their outside spigots to clear the lines in the building. To reduce the impact of depleting our water storage tank, please do not open your taps while your neighbor is doing theirs.

Irrigation System

The Irrigation committee comprised of Roger, Marian, Andrea and Bill Glenn of B&C Landscape decided to turn the irrigation on the 15th of May. This will be the first time in two years since we had the Water problem.

B+C Landscape will charge the system and fix any broken heads and repair any leaks as required between now and the 15th of May for the turn on.   Hopefully, the lawn will recover from the damage caused by not watering.

The Irrigation Committee will meet monthly to review and monitor the lawn condition.  Based on this, we will take action if necessary to resolve any issues.  Also, if anyone is interested in helping out with irrigation committee, please contact the BOD.

Fire Department Orientation

The Windham Fire Department came to Hadleigh Woods to get an orientation of the Pump House with emphasis on the fire dept hook-up and the outside hydrant.  Assistant Fire Chief Morgan with 9 Firemen and a Command car, a Tanker and Engine 1 received a warm welcome.  The orientation included a tour of the inside of the pump house.  They were impressed with all the brand new digital equipment, the 25,000 gallon water tank and all the valves that operate the outside hydrant.  This source of water for their tanker provides a vital service to support a fire emergency in our neighborhood.  Chief Morgan thanked us for our support to the town.

Landscape Committee

The Committee did a shrub survey on April 4th with results of 31 shrubs need for replacements. Units owners that receive new shrubs will be asked to take the nozzle off their garden hose, place the hose at the base of the shrub and turn the water on a slow trickle for an hour each morning for about 10 days. Then keep a watch out for stress during periods of extreme heat during the summer months and give extra watering when needed.

 Yard Sale

Saturday, May 18th and Sunday, May 19th

This is a great time to reduce the clutter in our basements and attics. Isnít it amazing how we seem to collect all this stuff! Itís time again to get rid of those things that you no longer use or were saving for who knows what.

Team Maintenance Tip

Do you have carpet dents that appear when you move furniture around? Hereís a quick and free way to get rid of them quick.

Take an ice cube, or multiple ice cubes relative to the size of the dent. Place the cubes in each dent and allow them to melt down completely. This will cause the carpet to eventually rise back up, removing the dent. Use multiple times for stubborn dents.

New Neighbors

The Hadleigh Woods Community would like to welcome Clifford and Cheryl and congratulate them on their purchase of here.
